Deja vu?

With Lockdown 2 landing tomorrow, we’re sensing less urgency and panic this time than last. Is that because we’ve ‘done this before’? Because we’re told it will be for a finite period?

It’s difficult to say. What we can say is that those community shops and pubs who were able to find new trading models during the first lockdown will be, in the most part, able to roll them out again. We’re thrilled to have seen that our client October Books are staying open to provide essential food – no bookshop browsing will be possible but titles can be ordered online and collected.

The latest restrictions and business support information, as always, is on the Government website. We’re glad to see that pubs can sell takeaway alcohol as well as food – that will be a lifeline for many.
