More houses, more pubs, more community shares – life as a lender under COVID-19

It goes without saying now that 2020 has been *quite* a year. Beyond ‘unprecedented’ and ‘challenging’ this has been one that none of us could have predicted and we’re still working our way through changes and shifts daily. You, like us, are probably thinking that this is here to stay for a while and we’re all trying to find whatever the ‘new normal’ is.

This Russian proverb sums up much of how central the pub is to many people in Britain. For centuries, at times of celebration or crisis, pubs have provided a warm welcome, a sanctuary from the weather, a refreshing pause in a walk, a heart and centre for our communities.

Last call for evidence - no space left behind
Evidence
The deadline to feed into the Create Streets Foundation ‘No Place Left Behind’ research is the 2nd November.
They want to hear from you if you have information about past and current projects designed to improve life in England's neighbourhoods - what has worked well, what hasn’t, and what future projects and programmes need to do to succeed in getting a fairer and better deal for so-called 'left-behind' places.

You can feed in by online questionnaire, email, voicemail, or telephone interview before 2nd November - the more voices they hear from, the more representative the research will be so if this is a subject close to your heart, do read on and feed in.
