Celebrating ICOF 50th birthday – looking back at our loans – Cafe Kino

Formed following a series of pop up events running in Bristol and Cardiff between 1996 and 2002, Bristol vegan cafe and community space Cafe Kino first incorporated in 2004.

After outgrowing their first premises within a few years, we worked with and lent to Cafe Kino in 2010, to support their relocation to a larger space – and we’re happy to say that they are still there, and still trading, today.

Offering tasty, homemade food including acclaimed burgers, breakfasts, falafel, fresh salads and cakes, they also have a wide selection of delicious loose leaf teas, fairtrade coffee, soft drinks, local beers, cider and wines. Many are sourced from Essential Trading, another Bristol based co-op with whom we’re proud to have links – watch this space for more on that relationship, soon.

More than just a cafe, they aim to be a true community resource. They show work of local artists’ work, and have an  event space , which can be used for for meetings, workshops and music events. If you’re near Stokes Croft, why not pop in for a cuppa?
